First allow me to express my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of the late Dr. Othello B. Capuno—a man who dedicated his life to public service here in our university who served as the longest Vice President for Research, Extension and Innovation that spanned for 12 years serving in two administrations.

You read it right! Cash incentive for topnotchers in VSU has been raised three times as much as more #ProudViscans are performing very well in the recent licensure examinations.

The VSU Board of Regents approved this new policy that entitles all new topnotchers of the university system with higher cash incentives that also comes with a proposal-based funding grant for the department where the topnotcher belongs.

After strengthening and renewing its ties and signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on March 20, 2022, at a virtual event, a soil scientist and agronomist from the University of Jember (UNEJ) in Indonesia finally visited Visayas State University (VSU) for their research collaborations specifically in soil science studies.

Visayas State University is now among the top universities in the Philippines after securing the 9th spot in UniRank’s 2022 edition. This is the second time that VSU was included in the top 10 cut after placing 8th in the Webometrics ranking last year.

The members of the University Administrative Council (UADCO) voted today, January 2, 2023, to move the resumption of classes from January 4 to January 9 next week.
