The VSU academic community welcomes its new Vice Presidents to work under the administration of University President Dr. Prose Ivy G. Yepes to propel VSU further and farther for all its mandated areas in instruction, research, and community engagement. 

For 2025, President Yepes retains four of her previously designated Vice Presidents, with one reassigned to a new office, and adding a new member to the VSU Management Committee. 

 

Dr. Rotacio S. Gravoso still sits as the Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA). 

As VPAA, Dr. Gravoso continues to oversee and ensure the effective planning, implementation, and evaluation of VSU’s academic programs, policies, and initiatives, and enhance the university’s standards of excellence in teaching and learning. 

 

VP for Research Extension Innovation 1

For Research, Innovation, and Extension, Dr. Santiago T. Peña, Jr. continues to serve as Vice President (VPREI). 

Dr. Peña spearheads VSU’s research agenda, extension programs, and community engagement to address societal needs, advance knowledge, and contribute to sustainable development. 

 

VP for Student Affairs Services 1

Dr. Aleli A. Villocino remains in her role as the Vice President for Student Affairs and Services (VPSAS). 

As VPSAS, Dr. Villocino oversees programs, policies, and services that enhance the personal growth, university experience, and the holistic development and welfare of the students. 

 

Dr. Moises Neil V. Seriño is now the Vice President for Administration and Finance (VPAF). He succeeded Dr. Elwin Jay V. Yu who served this office for seven months. 

Before sitting as the VPAF, Dr. Seriño previously held the position of Vice President for Planning, Resource Generation, and Auxiliary Services from May to December 2024. 

Now, as VPAF, Dr. Seriño is responsible for VSU’s administrative operations and financial management, efficient allocation of resources that are compliant with policies, and the sustainability of the university support system. 

 

Officially joining the VSU Management Committee is Dr. Glenn G. Pajares who is newly designated as the Vice President for Planning and Development (VPPD). He takes over the role from Dr. Seriño, who now serves as VPAF. 

Dr. Pajares holds two doctorate degrees. He took his Doctor of Philosophy in Philosophy from the University of San Carlos, and Doctor of Arts in Literature and Communication from Cebu Normal University. 

Before joining VSU, Dr. Pajares was the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences of the University of San Jose-Recoletos for eight years. He also served as the Head of the Department of Social Sciences and Philosophy in the same university for six years. 

Dr. Pajares officially joined VSU in September 2022. Since then, he became the Dean of the now defunct College of Arts and Sciences, now the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, in May 2024.

As VPPD, Dr. Pajares leads VSU’s stragetic planning and infrastructure development to ensure sustainable growth and the university’s responsiveness to emerging challenges.  

President Yepes retains three Chancellors for VSU component campuses: Dr. Luzviminda A. Tajos for VSU Isabel, Dr. Quenstein D. Lauzon for VSU Tolosa, and Dr. Judith B. Jomadiao for VSU Alangalang. 

For the VSU Villaba, Dr. Reynaldo V. Mollejos is now the appointed Chancellor, succeeding Dr. Maria Jehan P. Libre, who served three years in the position. 

The VSU administration looks forward to sustained growth and development in the years ahead with this new team of the university leaders.
