While keeping the Top 8 spot for two assessment periods in July 2022 and January 2023, the Visayas State University (VSU) saw its latest Webometrics standing drop by two spots with the entry of two constituent campuses of the University of the Philippines (UP) in the July 2023 edition of the Web Ranking of Philippine Universities.

The VSU Graduate School (GS) sent four graduate students to a two-week-long AEI-ASEM (Asia-Europe Meeting) Summer School program hosted by the Asia-Europe Institute (AEI), Universiti Malaya in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Aside from delivering the work expected from them, these groups of #ProudViscans exceeded beyond and performed best in their respective offices.

This year, the Visayas State University (VSU) is happy to commend two groups of faculty researchers and one administrative aide for being selected as regional winners for the yearly Search for Outstanding Government Workers of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) in Region 8.

Visayas State University is set to roll out premium licenses for Google and Microsoft to all of its faculty, staff, and students across all five campuses and the Integrated High School.

Cyrill John Godinez, Ph.D. faculty-researcher of the VSU Department of Animal Science (DAS) is the lone #ProudViscan who attended the international training on bioinformatics in Thailand which is a modern tool to collect and analyze whole genome sequencing data (WGS) or the complete genetic make-up of plants and animals.

The whole VSU system officially kicked off a new academic year on August 16, 2023, with an initial total of 4,599 first-year students enrolled for the first semester of 2023-2024 in all five campuses.
