This year, the Visayas State University (VSU) celebrates a proud milestone as it was honored with the prestigious Gold Award from the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) during the 2025 ITSO Presidents’ Summit and General Assembly held on April 10, 2025.

The Visayas State University, through the Philippine Rootcrops Research and Training Center (PhilRootcrops), and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) forged a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to intensify the implementation of the  program “Bigyang-Halaga, Bangon MSMEs (BBM MSMEs)” on April 8, 2025.

VSU Tolosa formalized its growing academic ties with Kagoshima University Faculty of Fisheries (KUFF), Japan, through the exchange of a Joint Declaration of Cooperation and a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) held on March 11, 2025. 

Dr. Janet Alexis A. De Los Santos, a faculty researcher from VSU Faculty of Nursing, has published groundbreaking research focused on improving HIV prevention strategies for high-risk populations in the Philippines. 

VSU Tolosa received a special recognition from SANTEH Feeds Corporation during the company’s 35th anniversary celebration held on March 5, 2025 at the Summit Hotel in Tacloban City.
