Medardo C. Magdadaro Jr. and Melvin R. Cubian landed 5th and 7th places, respectively, in the November 2017 Agriculture Licensure Exam held on November 28-30.

Secretary Emmanuel M. De Guzman, the Vice Chairperson and the Executive Director of the Climate Change Commission, challenged scientists and researchers in Eastern Visayas to anchor their research, development and extension (RDE) initiatives in building and enhancing community resilience as a strategy for climate change adaptation and mitigation.

In preparation for the second semester in 2018, the Visayas State University launched four (4) new transport loop units called the “Tuyok”, a Cebuano term that means ‘to go around’. The transport system was inaugurated together with the newly acquired VSU ambulance during the Christmas lighting ceremony held at the VSU Mall on December 1, 2017.

The State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA) – 8 came back to where it all started, at Visayas State University, for the 33rd Regional SCUAA games with the theme Dreaming Together for Change.

With all 12 first-time takers making it successfully, VSU garnered a 100% institutional passing rate in the November 2017 Nursing Licensure Exam.

The Visayas State University system produced a total of 548 new educators in the September 2017 Licensure Examination for Teachers released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on November 27.
