When the university announced its new set of togas—which was recently approved by the University Administrative Council—we received feedback from the vetmed alumni community about the DVM regalia. The new attire is comprised of the new VSU undergraduate toga with mortarboard cap and a gray alampay with three stripes and the CVM logo. 

A total of 395 students will graduate with Latin Honors in the 69th Commencement Exercises of the Visayas State University flagship campus in Baybay City, Leyte.

This figure constitutes 26.49% of the 1,491 graduating students for VSU Class of 2022, which is the biggest number of honor students ever produced by the university.

Out of this number, 336 are graduating Cum Laude, 57 are Magna Cum Laude, and 2 clinched the highest distinction of Summa Cum Laude.

It’s almost a sweep for VSU in a scientific conference held in Thailand.

The Klau Center for Civil and Human Rights of the University of Notre Dame, USA in partnership with the VSU Department of Development Communication (DDC) formally concluded the month-long advocacy program on “Anti-Human Trafficking and Other Forms of Gender-Based Violence Against Women and Children” last July 22, 2022, via Zoom.

An exciting new attire is set to make every graduation rites in VSU more meaningful and distinctive.

This is part of the university’s long term plan to establish a more coherent visual identity and corporate branding.
