A senior VSU BS in Marine Biology student landed second in the undergraduate category of the Young Systematic Biologist Forum during the 35th Association of Systematic Biologists of the Philippines (ASBP) symposium at the University of St. La Salle in Bacolod City, May 31.

On its 64th Commencement Exercises, Visayas State University (VSU) will honor and confer awards to Class of 2017’s 138 graduates with Latin Honors at the President's Tribute to be held at the VSU Convention Center, June 14.

Some 40 municipalities and cities from the provinces of Leyte, Southern Leyte, Samar, Eastern Samar, and Northern Samar acquired high-resolution flood hazard and resource maps during a turnover ceremony at the VSU Convention Center, May 26.

Ms. Cherrie Atilano, VSU alumna and accomplished agri-entrepreneur, is set to grace the university’s 64th Commencement Exercises as graduation speaker.

VSU is training beneficiaries of the National Greening Program (NGP) on modern technologies in vegetable, rootcrop, biofertilizer, quality tree seedling and bamboo production, agroforestry, bee-keeping, marketing, and noodle processing, starting this week, May 29-June 2.
