DBM Orientation on Web-Based Application System

The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) and the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) conducted an orientation/hands-on workshop on the Government Management Information System (GMIS) Web-Based Application System for State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) on March 19-20, 2012 at Bayview Park Hotel Manila.
The workshop aimed to orient technical personnel on the GMIS web-based application system as an electronic tool in accessing the database for their regular on-line updating/encoding, improve and strengthen information management and dissemination system, achieve real-time status of data between DBM and agency specifically on the number of filled and unfilled positions, gain real-time information that ensures faster response, increased accuracy and better decision-making and effectively manage and control expenditures for personal services.
Participants were introduced to the GMIS web-based application, experienced hands-on simulation and oriented on the Personal Services Itemization and Plantilla of Personnel.
VSU participants were: Dr. Lourdes B. Cano and Ms. Lourdes C. Managbanag of the Office of the Director for Administration and Human Resource Development, and Ms. Ma. Roberta S. Miraflor of the Office of the Director of Finance.
