ISAH 2024

VSU Veterinary Medicine faculty, Dr. Ana Marquiza M. Quilicot, participated in the 21st International Society for Animal Hygiene (ISAH) and Southeast Asia One Health University Network (SEAOHUN) Conference in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Dr. Quilicot presented her paper on the knowledge, attitudes, and practices on animal welfare among livestock extension workers in Leyte. The paper captures the awareness of livestock extension workers here in the Philippines.

ISAH is a network of veterinarians, non-veterinary academic scientists, and animal production and agriculture professionals who work to support sustainable animal farming that keeps animals healthy and produces safe, nutritious food.

ISAH collaborated with SEAOHUN, a workforce to help minimize the impact of future pandemic threats supported by the United States Agency for International Development and its One Health Workforce project.

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Chiang Mai University partnered with ISAH and SEAOHUN to host this year’s conference, focusing on breakthroughs in health, welfare, and the environment for sustainable animal production.
