The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic is affecting our mental health.

The unforeseen turn of events with the quarantine, isolation, and uncertainty, have made experts concerned about the possible harm on everyone’s well-being. Many anticipate cases of anxiety and depression to rise.

For education in the midst of a pandemic, we believe nobody should be left behind.

We have worked for months to prepare to make “flexible learning” happen for the new school year. As we open a new semester, we would like everyone to be oriented with everything we are doing in the new normal.

The University Student Services Office (USSO) spearheads a mental health counseling session to more than 40 stranded dorm occupants who are currently billeted inside the Baybay City campus since March 16, 2020.

 Under the Graduate Fellowship Program for Foreign Graduate Students, Ten (10) slots will be available; 5 slots for PhD and 5 slots for the Master's Program. Foreign students can enroll in the following programs: PhD in Animal Science, Agricultural Education, Entomology, Horticulture, and Plant Pathology. For Master’s students, they can take any of the Master’s Programs offered at VSU.   PhD in Agronomy and Soil Science, and MSc in Biology, Chemistry, and Statistics will also be the other options to take once the moratorium in the offering of new graduate programs is lifted by the Commission on Higher Education.

Visayas State University (VSU) President Edgardo E. Tulin officially took an oath of office as a newly-elected board member of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc. in an online swearing-in ceremony held on July 10, 2020, Friday.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) finally concluded the highly contested national highway road widening project along Visayas State University (VSU) Main Campus earlier this July 2020.
