The Search for Outstanding Viscans is a special set of recognitions for the VSU Grand Centennial Celebration given to alumni who have made exemplary contributions in any of the following categories:

There is always a special place for music in the heart and soul of every person. This is why, for the hundredth anniversary of our beloved university, we are going to tap into the talents of Viscans to craft songs of celebration that we all can sing.

The mayor has an equally important commitment at this very moment so he tasked me to attend this kick-off program of the centennial celebration of our dear Baybay Agricultural School (BAS) now the Visayas State University.

Just today (January 30, 2024), the Search Committee led by Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT-U) President Raul F. Muyong, EdD just announced the three official candidates who will vie to become the 7th President of the Visayas State University system.

VSU is privileged as one of the university partners of the Bioeconomy Economics Research Group from the University of Passau (UniPassau) in Germany to work on joint research on the valorization of residues for bio-based products, particularly, tropical fruits.
