VP for Research in a capability building visit to Vietnam and Cambodia

Dr. Othello B. Capuno, VSU’s VP for Research and Extension, together with other 18 representatives of member institutions and agencies of the Eastern Visayas Consortium for Industry and Energy Research and Development (EVCIERD), participated in the Capability Building Visit on May 2-8, 2015 in Vietnam and Cambodia.
The activity was realized based on the unanimously approved EVCIERD Board of Directors’ (BOD) Resolution No. 001, series of 2015, chaired by Atty. Mar P. de Asis, President of the University of Eastern Philippines, with the end in view of establishing international linkages and partnerships with selected research and development institutions and universities in Vietnam and Cambodia.
The EVCIERD BOD felt the need for international linkages and partnership through visit of research and development institutions and universities that will provide a secure venue for the sharing of technologies and experiences and, eventually, to benefit the ASEAN-member countries, specifically the member agencies of EVCIERD.
