LEADS Agri and VSU institutionalize the Angat Pinoy Scholarship Grant

The LEAD Agricultural Products Corporation located at the Unit 1208 Paragon Plaza, EDSA, Mandaluyong and the Visayas State University (VSU) Main Campus concretized very recently the Memorandum of Agreement for the implementation of the LEADS Agri Angat Pinoy Scholarship Grant.

The MOA was signed by Ms. Catherine M. Baisas, HR and Administration Manager of LEADS Agriculture Products Corp., and Dr. Jose L. Bacusmo, University President, at the VSU Office of the President in the presence of Dr. Oscar B. Posas VP for Instruction.

The scholarship grant shall be awarded to two students of VSU Main Campus who are in their junior years taking up BS in Agriculture either major in Crop Science, Crop Protection, Soil Science, Entomology, Plant Pathology, or any other allied course in the College of Agriculture starting this School Year 2012-2013.

LEADS Agri shall provide a maximum of fifteen thousand pesos (P15,000) per semester to the scholar for a maximum of four semesters, excluding summer, broken down as follows: tuition and other school fees – P6,000; book allowance – P1,500; and monthly stipend – P1,500.

The scholars need to maintain a general weighted average of 2.0 during the semester of the scholarship with no failing grade or incomplete grade and should not drop any subject.

The agreement also stipulated that the scholars should belong to a farming family whose annual income is below sixty thousand pesos, shall be willing to undergo training and various exposure activities with LEADS Agri, and shall be willing to be featured in any marketing/communication material of the company.
