New year, new workplace.
The Visayas State University handed over a new class and office space to the faculty and staff of the Department of Mathematics and Physics (DMP) on January 6, 2020.
DMP will begin occupying the second floor of the renovated old library building, which will house 20 faculty and staff.
During the blessing ceremony, VSU President Edgardo E. Tulin encouraged the department to maximize the use of the area in providing quality education to the students.
“Your new location is very much conducive to learning as the ambiance suits the needs of the students, because of the very spacious and well-ventilated classrooms,” he said.
He also challenged the faculty and staff to strive for CHED’s Center of Development award as it already met the criteria.
The new department space boasts of a conference room, 10 faculty offices, 6 classrooms, and an office for the College of Arts and Science Supreme Student Council.
