VSU welcomes exchange students from Czech Republic, Thailand

Visayas State University welcomed five new exchange students from Europe and Southeast Asia for a four-month research program from September 2019 to January 2020.
The foreign students were formally introduced by VSU Vice President for Academic Affairs Beatriz Belonias and International Affairs Head Prof. Rotacio S. Gravoso in a welcome dinner at the Guesthouse on September 16, 2019.
As part of the Erasmus+ Students Mobility program, Tomas Kaspar, Jan Stefanek, and Lenca Kasparkova from Mendel University in Czech Republic will be taking programs in Economics, Development Communication, and Business Management, respectively.
Thantip Chimwong and Suwadee Phonruang from Khon Kaen University in Thailand will be conducting their research at the Department of Horticulture. They will be working on hydroponics and rambutan production.
“Thank you for your warm welcome... I am looking forward to learning more about Filipinos and your culture,” said Kaspar.
