General Alumni Homecoming 2023
AN INVITATION TO THE GENERAL ALUMNI HOMECOMING 2023
Dear Fellow Alumni,
We, the ViSCA Freshman Batches of 1983 and 1999 and High School Graduates of 1999 warmly invite all VAC/ViSCA/LSU/VSU alumni to the General Alumni Homecoming 2023!
After three years of being unable to participate in our alumni homecoming in person, here is now a golden opportunity for us to visit our Alma Mater and be with our schoolmates, friends, and teachers. That golden date is on 19-20 May 2023.
There are several reasons why we should come to VSU for the Alumni Homecoming 2023:
- While we had fun participating in the virtual homecomings. But we’re sure it will be more fun if we’ll have it face-to-face. And after three years, we will have the in-person homecoming;
- While we were going through the pandemic and other disruptions, VSU has achieved so many things. Dr. Edgardo Tulin, VSU President, will report to us the latest of VSU and the administration’s plans to make VSU soar higher; and
- The 2023 Alumni Homecoming is a platform for us to prepare for our Centennial Celebration in 2024!
Homecoming Theme
Our theme for this year’s homecoming is, #ProudViscans: Trailblazing in excellence amidst disruptions. This theme honors the many firsts the VSU administration, faculty, staff alumni, and students have achieved despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, natural calamities, and the noise created by media and technology.

For alumni working at VSU and Baybay, we suggest that you pre-register. We highly encourage the active participation of alumni in VSU and Baybay as a way to welcome our fellow alumni who may have traveled from far away places.
Motiff for Alumni Nite
Our Alumni Nite 2023 promises to be a display of grandeur, color, grace, and poise as we come in Latin American attire, an attire that is so similar in many ways to our colorful Filipino costumes. We suggest that you search on the Internet to get ideas on Latin American attire. While we will be playing Filipino music, the evening will be filled with Latin beats.
Accommodation
VSU continues to run accommodation facilities—Hostel, Apartelle, and the Seafront Suite. Alumni may also stay at the Balay Alumni and the ATI Dormitory called, ATIng Bahay.
Given our number, we may not be accommodated in the campus lodging facilities. There’s no problem though because there are already a number of accommodation facilities within Baybay.
We are providing you with the contact details of the hotels and inns where you can stay during our homecoming. It is best that you contact any of these immediately.
A Shared Responsibility
We, the host batches, together with the Alumni and Community Affairs Office (ACRO) are trying our very best to make the General Alumni Homecoming 2023 fun, enjoyable and memorable. At the same time, we believe that every homecoming is a shared responsibility of all alumni. We hope that similar to our previous homecomings, we will all contribute to the success of VSU Alumni Homecoming 2023.
