The establishment of the Visayas State University (VSU) Faculty of Medicine is one step closer to becoming a reality following a crucial congressional meeting between VSU officials and Congressman Carl Nicolas C. Cari.

In a bold move towards further modernizing operations, Visayas State University President Prof. Dr. Prose Ivy G. Yepes challenged everyone to change their perspective about accreditations and correct the misnomer that it only benefits the administration.

The Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Kesehatan Mamba’ul ‘Ulum Surakarta (STIKes MUS) together with the Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) visited VSU College of Nursing (CON) and discussed partnership collaboration to advance nursing education and research engagement between universities.

The VSU Department of Biotechnology welcomed the research team of Professor Dr. Jiro Nakayama from Kyushu University in Japan who visited the university for their follow-up study under the Asian Microbiome Project (AMP).

To respond immediately to campus emergencies, VSU Tolosa strengthened its disaster management by procuring a 1.8 million pesos rescue vehicle from its Special Trust Fund.
