7 VSU Main Campus programs and 3 VSU-Tolosa programs for Level I accreditation; 3 VSU-Isabel programs for Level II accreditation

After passing the Preliminary Survey Visit (PSV) and being awarded the Candidate Status Accreditation by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc. effective November 1, 2014 – October 31, 2016 among the seven programs of the VSU Main Campus—BS in Geodetic Engineering, BS in Environmental Management, BS in Economics, BS in Nursing, MS in Food Science and Technology, MS in Forestry, and MS in Tropical Ecology; the Bachelor of Elementary Education, Bachelor of Secondary Education, and the BS in Fishery in VSU-Tolosa Campus with validity period from June 1, 2012 to May 31, 2014, these programs shall undergo an evaluation for Level I Accreditation simultaneously on November 23-28, 2015.
On the other hand, the Bachelor of Elementary Education, Bachelor of Secondary Education, and BS in Agribusiness in VSU-Isabel Campus with validity period from December 16, 2012 to December 15, 2015, shall undergo an evaluation for Level II Accreditation simultaneously with that of VSU Main and Tolosa campuses.
One group of AACCUP accreditors shall scrutinize the documents of the seven programs at the VSU Main Campus. Another group of accreditors shall go over the documents of the three programs of VSU-Tolosa Campus and the same group shall evaluate the documents of the three programs of VSU-Isabel Campus.
According to Dr. Lualhati M. Noriel, Director of the University Quality Assurance Center, all in-charge of the different programs considered the recommendations made by the PSV accreditors in case of VSU Main and Tolosa campuses, and the recommendations during the first survey visit for VSU-Isabel.
As of this writing, the names of the AACCUP accreditors are not yet available. “But we are certain that everything is in place and that we are just waiting for the accreditors to come on November 22, 2015,” Dr. Noriel stressed. JFMBaldos
