2nd National Research Congress 2024

Mr. Christian Vie Baldonado, the dean of the College of Nursing, won the Best Oral Presentation award in the 2nd National Research Congress organized by the Universidad de Zamboanga to celebrate its 76th Founding Anniversary.

He presented her paper, “Job Stress and Caring Behavior of Nurses and Their Patients’ Satisfaction to the Delivery of Care in a Government Hospital,” which explored the relationships among nurses’ level of job stress, the extent of caring behavior, and satisfaction levels.

The findings reveal that the rise in job stress among nurses impacts their caring behaviors during patient care, thereby implying improved healthcare services.

The conference ​​facilitated the exchange of research findings and fostered collaboration among universities and institutions in the Philippines, especially in sharing best practices, advancing research, and exploring future collaborations.

Over 100 papers were presented and categorized into specific sustainable development goals (SDGs), as the theme is focused on utilizing the SDGs as a universal research agenda on emerging global communities.

The two-day conference ran from October 4 to 5, 2024, at Palacio del Sur in Zamboanga City.

This article aligns with Sustainable Development Goals No: 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), 4 (Quality Education), and 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).
