VSU researchers bag 2nd place for Best Paper Category in PSSST summit

Dr. Anabella B. Tulin, Professor VI and Project Leader and Country Coordinator of ACIAR Projects; Mr. Chris G. Dorahy, ACIAR Component 1 Project Leader in Australia; and Ms. Mechelle B. Rañises and Ms. Marciana B. Galambao, Research Assistants, won 2nd place for their paper entitled "Nutrient Balance Studies for Sustainable Cabbage Production in P Deficient Soil" Best Paper Senior Category.
The award was given during the 15th Annual Meeting and Scientific Conference of the Philippine Society of Soil Science and Technology, Inc. (PSSST) held on May 16-18, 2012 in Silliman University, Dumaguete City in Negros Oriental. The group was accorded with certificates and a cash prize.
PSSST is a professional group of soil science experts in the country in which some VSU scientists and researchers are active affiliates and members. Dr. Tulin is a concurrent member of the PSSST Board of Trustees. She has held the position for two consecutive years.
This year's gathering is anchored on the theme "Soil Science in Nation Building."
