The Visayas Consortium for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Program (ViCARP) held a four-day workshop for writing papers in peer-reviewed journals held at VSU from December 14 to 17, last year.
Prominent research figures in VSU, including Dr. Rotacio B. Gravoso, Dr. Victor B. Asio, Dr. Beatriz Belonias, Dr. Santiago Peña, Jr., Dr. Editha Cagasan, and Dr. Romel Amercin, served as resource persons.
"We appreciate the initiative of ViCARP in organizing this activity. In the Region, we know that VSU is the leading university when it comes to research and publication,” said Jason Tuang-tuang, a participant from Palompon Institute of Technology.
“We have learned so much on how to make a publishable paper in an international journal, and also instill in our minds that it's our responsibility to share the findings of our research to the rest of the world. Through publication, we are able to come up with an outcome that will surely change the lives of the community,” he added.
Faculty-researchers from VSU and other nearby SUCs attended the workshop.
