VSU Tolosa to collaborate with Oceana PH for fisheries project

PHOTO: VSU President Edgardo E. Tulin, VSU Tolosa Dean Obdulia Camoying, and Biology dept head Prof. Analyn M. Mazo met with Oceana Philippines staff to discuss a collaboration for an information campaign regarding the technical information on the establishment of Fisheries Management Areas (FMAs) among SUCs in the region.
Dr. Tulin gave the task to VSU Tolosa to spearhead the campaign where the fisheries program is offered and draft a proposal and submit to CHED for funding.
They met on October 21, 2019, at the VSU Guesthouse.
Oceana Philippines is a non-profit organization that seeks to restore the health, richness, and abundance of the Philippine oceans. By working closely with civil society, academics, fishers, and government, Oceana Philippines will promote the use of sound science-based policies to help ensure sustainable fisheries and vibrant marine ecosystems.
