Farmers and Fisherfolks Day | August 11
Farmers from all over Eastern Visayas took a one-day break to visit VSU to exchange ideas with the agricultural researchers, meet other farmers and fisherfolks, to brag about their harvests or their farming skills, play games, earn prizes, and be recognized for their outstanding feats in farm entrepreneurship. Every anniversary celebration at VSU has a day for our food producers, and every year, we always have a blast.
This year's Outstanding Farmer-Entrepreneur is Socorro Serano-Codilla, 74, from Brgy. Concepcion, Ormoc City.
Farmers challenged each other to a farming skills tilt.
This farmer won a prize for having the largest rootcrop there was.
