To become a member of Phi Delta, these are the following qualifications:

  1. Should have a Ph.D. degree;
  2. Has at least two (2) publications in peer-reviewed journals; and
  3. Age must not be older than 50 years old prior to membership.

Moreover, this membership is not only limited to the researchers and scientists of VSU. In fact, there are some that were recruited, nominated, and accepted outside the university.

Phi Delta as a professional, non-profit organization, has organized and hosted lectures and workshops on thesis or publication writing and proposal making for almost 15 years.

The society was founded by Dr. Victor Asio on September 7, 2004, with twelve (12) pioneering members. Being true in upholding its ideals to contribute in the growth and development of science, in the university, and community, the society is dedicated and committed to encouraging young students and professionals to conduct relevant and original research.
